Description

This is a model of VF-1J GBP-1S Armored Valkyrie.

The VF-1 Valkyrie was to be the centerpiece mecha design for the anime series The Super Dimension Fortress Macross which aired between 1982 and 1983. Shinnakasu Heavy Industry's VF-1J (the "J" speculated as a prideful designation of the fighter's region of origin) is an upgraded version of the standard VF-1, typically assigned to the senior officer of an air team or to a squadron leader.

Originally commissioned only for special operations, the GBP-1S nonetheless saw first operational deployment in space for a routine patrol . Then Second Lieutenant Hikaru Ichijo ( Rick Hunter for robotech version ) launched from CVS-101 Prometheus in a GBP-1S equipped VF-1J Valkyrie on a deep space reconnaissance mission to determine possible Zentradi incursion.

The shapes and proportions of the objects are accurate. Following the original sketches.
